Manager, Customer Development

Location: Remote, USA

Job Responsibilities:

Accelerate Convenience & Small Format Channel Growth

  • Lead coordination of sell-in process for top national accounts in Convenience & Health & Fitness.
  • Track success against objectives across top customers.
  • Develop category insights to shape channel/ top account growth strategies.
  • Be a Business partner to Marketing and R&D teams to support development of channel-focused innovation pipeline.
  • Support and participate in channel trade shows, events, and conferences.

Key Account Management

  • Own and nurture relationships with respective stakeholders, including select national and regional retailers, distributors and 1440 sales broker.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners such as our broker, category management, customer service, marketing, and finance to deliver outstanding business results.
  • Implement marketing strategies, analyze trends, and negotiate promotion for Met-Rx, Pure Protein and Body Fortress.

Sales Excellence

  • Forecast volume, sales and trade spend on a monthly basis and review/support total channel to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Manage & optimize trade spend in line with budget. Support quarterly promotion ROI analysis.
  • Improve visibility to channel performance leverage internal and external sources (market data, sales/order trends, distributor inventory)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in customer development, sales, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills. Experience with market intelligence systems (IRI, Circana, PowerBI).
  • Excellent communication capabilities, ability to define and build sell-in materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with forecasting methods and trade budget management.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales goals.
